Twins!

11/7/2018

The circle of life. What an amazing, beautiful gift.
At 331/2 weeks Alexander & Megan were given the gift of two tiny lives to raise. Identical twin girls were born to them yesterday morning. Megan did AMAZING, all natural and basically wowed us all- including her caregivers. Tom and I were able to celebrate with them having Thai take-out and champagne from plastic cups, in their room after a full day of staring at the babies.
The girls will be in NICU for several weeks and are being watched over by some incredible nurses. Tom and I had the most special day yesterday getting to spend several hours with them all in the NICU- getting to see so many firsts take place on their first day out of the womb.
We stared for hours in amazement at the tiny girls; just taking it all in. I so badly wanted to touch them, swaddle them and sniff their tiny heads. The detail on their hands and ears-simply amazing. At time tears would stream down my face with aw and wonderment of the miracle of birth that takes place all across the world and now in our very own family. What a precious gift.
Alexander and Megan would covet your prayers- that the girls would continue thriving, growing strong enough to come home and that they, (mom and dad) would stay healthy so they can be with their girls.
Now, we anxiously await the arrival of Andrew and Natalia's baby, while still being present, enjoying the new lives that were just given to our family.
Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Inspired by the loves of my life. the hunger in my stomach and my SPONTANEOUS nature.
DELICIOUS home-made food is my passion.
The smiles on the faces that eat it and the hands that clean up the messes I make.
