Pasta. It's been awhile .
Hand cut pasta is in the house tonight. When the boys were growing up, we ate pasta a couple nights a week. It was a inexpensive and a filling dinner to feed six boys. Now we eat it maybe once a month or even longer in between.
I woke up this morning craving pasta before I even had my mug of tea. Out of the freezer came beef short ribs and Italian sausage. I diced onions, carrots, celery, picked fresh herbs from the garden and collected eggs from the girls.. my batch of Sugo was on the way to the oven to simmer all day.
The color of this dough; is so beautiful, bright and rich in color. 16 yolks went into this batch of gold. If you don't know what to do with your abundance of eggs here you go!
