make-a-wish

10/10/2017

We could not think of a better way to celebrate the first time after an almost five-month break from classes after the water restoration project in the kitchen.

We were honored to be contacted by Make-A-Wish Foundation, as they honored a wish for the Serres family. Family and friends gathered for a tea party to celebrate Violet, the darling almost four-year-old, and the granting of a wish for a trip to Disney World.

Traditional tea sandwiches and treats, special, delicious cookies donated by The Hutch Oven. Save the Day Floral was graciously created a Moana crown mere hours before jetting off for her trip to Africa. And as always, my mom and husband are the helpers that make this stuff happen.

I was a bit rusty in the kitchen. Not much cake baking went on with me the last five months. The tape and plastic came off the floors and walls Friday night, we were gone all day Saturday, and I was baking late into the evening last night. The first cake went to the goats, along with some confidence. But we made it happen, we really made it happen -- and it felt soo good to be back!

Thank you to he Serres family, Make-a-Wish, The Hutch Oven, Save the Day Floral, my husband and dear mother for the lovely afternoon and successful reopen at FPK.

It was a good day.
