I know one thing for sure, you won't catch me opening a Chinese restaurant..
I ate at a well known, expensive restaurant twice in 24 hours and then again a few days later just so I could try and figure out the sauce so I could recreate the flavors at home. I've had many flops over the years but keep trying to perfect a few entrees.
This sweet, garlic-pepper chicken was finger-lickin' good with not a crumb, wing or spoon of sauce left. 27 pieces gone in a flash between the 3 of us. It took me a looooong time to get this one right, and by golly I think I've done it.
I love trying to figure out how the the restaurants create their flavors, but making it at home for my family without spending the the going-out-to-eat prices.
