I just love how sometimes our worlds collide and we meet a new friend in the most random ways. Meet my new friend Brie (short for Brianna).
She is a darling young lady that just happens to be one of the warm souls that gathered around our table at Thanksgiving.
We had never met, nor had I even heard of her. I wanted to keep her here forever....
She's one of those sweet spirited dears that you could sit and listen talk for hours. Brie, (not the cheese) just happens to be a Fromager and Charcuterie enthusiast.
I'm super, duper excited that she will be partnering with Flour Pot Kitchen for a late winter, regional cheese themed party. That means, food, cheese and wine from the area we choose such as Midi-Pyrenees or Piedmont, Italy.
You can read more about Brie (the darling Fromager and Charcuterie enthusiast) on her blog which is linked here;
"Fika (pronounced fee-ka) is a Swedish custom, a kind of social coffee break where people gather to have a cup of coffee or tea and a few nibbles. Fika is such an important part of life in Sweden that it is both a verb and a noun."
At my friend Lotta's beautiful home she treated us to handcrafted, labor of love beautiful Swedish cookies and cardamom buns, Glögg simmering to the perfect temperature and conversation with loved ones.
I'm trying to talk Lotta into teaching a Swedish baking class at Flour Pot- Wouldn't that be fun?!
