Tonight's theme was cast iron.
Porterhouse steak with grilled onions and aromatics, cast iron bread, cast iron coconut prawns, cast iron smashed potatoes and cast iron, gluten free cookie with a blood orange beverage on the side.
I'd say it was a good night in the kitchen and a whole lot of cast-iron.
Outside looking in. Last night was a wonderful surprise, 50th birthday celebration for 13 guests.
It was a perfect evening to grill outside with the fire on, we fried coconut prawns, we baked cast iron apple pie with a shortbread crumble, the guests enjoyed homemade bread piled with roasted tomatoes, fresh basil & oil and burrata cheese.
Today I get the honor of hosting a private cooking class for one and her baby bump. Cast iron cooking is the theme today.
A big ol' Porterhouse steak is in the house with a whole lot of other deliciousness. ❤ So grateful to get to do what I do.
